An exceptionally large glass scanning area of 8.5 by 14.5 inches, makes it possible to scan two pages of a large book at the same time. The scanner copes with A4 sheets as well as large and fat books as the lid is removable. It copes with a large range of fonts and will manage text that has been placed skewed on the scanning plate. Only one language can be installed from a choice of English, French, German, Spanish. The control buttons are close to hand with stop start and voice controls for volume, speed and pitch. The speed of reading is up to 3 pages per minute. Scanning occurs at up to 600dpi at around 13secs per page.

It is possible to use headphones but this scanner does not download files to a computer or storage medium. It is designed with simplicity in mind.
